Success at the Guild of Fine Food 'GREAT TASTE AWARDS' 2022

We were thrilled to receive a GOLD STAR AWARD in the Great Taste Awards for our DISTILLERS PICKLE SAUCE. The esteemed judges decreed that the sauce was delicious and full of possibilities .

Here at Tartine we serve it alongside our Irish Cheeseboard and with our baked Camembert sharing starter.

Our sauce has also been awarded the Gold Award at the 2021 Blas naHeireann / Irish Food Awards.

Distillers Raspberry & Apple Sauce

Our Chef Proprietor Gary Stewart has been busy in the Tartine kitchen and we are delighted to inform you that our latest sauce product is ready just in time for Summer. The Distillers Raspberry & Apple sauce is made in small batches and uses the best local ingredients. Armagh apples laden with flavour are infused with ripe raspberries and a generous splash of our local Bushmills Whiskey to create a taste sensation. A slight hint of Cinnamon and Clove provide the backdrop flavour and ensure that this sweet sauce goes well with desserts,scones,ice creams and even in cocktails! . Currently Available to buy at Tartine Restaurant or at the Seasons of the Glens Stall as part of the Naturally North Coast Market.

January 2022 Opening

We would like to thank each and everyone of you who supported Tartine at Distillers Arms this past year and over the festive period. Every Tag,Check in,Social media post,re-tweet and share is appreciated.

Now we plan to take some well earned staff annual leave so we will be closed from January 10th to 27th.
However you can still contact us by leaving voicemails or by emailing us. We will still have one eye on the ball.

Bushmills Banquet 2021

On Friday 19th November 2021 The Bushmills Banquet was held at the Iconic Giants Causeway visitors centre. The event was produced by Gary Stewart of Tartine at Distillers Arms Along with Stella Bolton of the superb French Rooms and a collaborative supporting team that included staff from the Vistors centre itself and an array of Taste Causeway Chefs and Food producers. Many thanks also to Taste Causeway , Discover NI, The Old Bushmills Whiskey Distillery and Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council.

After weeks of planning the Banquet welcomed guests with an evening of drinks tastings , music , visuals , canapes and a sumptuous multi course dinner menu that utilised the very best of local Causeway produce and hospitality.

Recently Tartine at Distillers Arms was invited to demo in the Live Food NI Cookery Theatre at BALMORAL SHOW 2021

Chef Gary Stewart offered tastings of his delicious Distillers Pickle Sauce and Cooked his award winning Seafood Chowder. Food compare on the day was the lovely Barbara Collins and Causeway Coast Foodie Tours Wendy Gallagher spoke in detail about her amazing foodie adventures.

Tartines very own condiment has been introduced to the world. Made in small batches and bottled at the restaurant this tasty pickle sauce is the perfect accompaniment with cheeses,charcuterie,burgers and in sandwiches. Ingredients include local apples,spices and a generous splash of Black Bush Whiskey. Produced by proprietor Gary Stewart this food project was a year in the making and is now finaly available at quality delis and farmshops on the Causeway Coast…of course you can also purchase at Tartine.

Tartine Gourmet home delivery service commences .

Tartine is pleased to announce its new Tartine Gourmet home delivery service.

PLEASE READ THE DETAIL THANK YOU.

There will be 4 menus available : a weekly changing 3 course Saturday dinner menu ,a 2 course Sunday lunch menu ,a Vegan menu and a kiddies menu.

Customers can order and pay for a weekend delivery over the telephone 028 20731044 Monday - Friday 1pm-9pm or use the online order and payment system. Deliveries will continue on Saturdays and Sundays.

Chef / Patron Gary Stewart says he is looking forward to delivering some contemporary dishes alongside some Tartine staples for customers to enjoy at home. All health and safety regulations will be adhered to insure the safety of both staff and diners.

All deliveries will include a menu card with some easy instruction for simple at HOME FINISHING TOUCHES.

If demand dictates there will be some other delivery dates added to the schedule.

Balmoral Show

This year’s Show ran from Wednesday 15th May to Saturday 18th and is Northern Ireland’s largest agri-food event providing a fun-filled day out for all the family. The Show attracts more than 115,000 people and takes place at Balmoral Park, Lisburn.  Local agriculture is very much at the heart of the event, with livestock competitions, Show Jumping and the latest advances in agriculture on display.

Gary was honoured to be invited to put on a Cookery Demonstration at the NI Food Pavilion, where those that gathered could sample the best local produce, be wowed by the spectacular entertainment, enjoy fantastic shopping, music and even a fun fair.

Institute of Hospitality Awards 2019

The Institute of Hospitality NI Awards Gala Dinner was held on the Friday 17th May at Titanic Belfast . These awards are the longest established hospitality awards in Northern Ireland, recognising the success of individuals working in all sectors of the industry.

Gary was a finalist on the evening in the ‘Restaurateur of the Year’ Category, an award he had already won back in 2017.

Ulster Chowder Championship 2019

After Chef/Patron Gary Stewart’s successful back to back wins of the Ulster Chowder Championships in 2017 & 2018 Gary and Tartine Head Chef Stephen Lampard claimed 2nd and 3rd place in the 2019 competition.

Rathlin Sound Maritime Festival

Chefs Gary and Stephen were honoured to recently be asked to put on a Seafood Cookery Demonstration at the ever popular Rathlin Sound Maritime Festival, an exciting annual celebration of our rich local maritime history, culture, music, and food that took place between 24th May and the 2nd June 2019.


The festival is about inspiring a passion for the sea as well as celebrating local culture, bringing together a rich mix of activities and events both on the sea and on land, including a focus on local cuisine, music, maritime heritage, history and culture.
